Display, Design, and Controls
GoPro Hero 6 looks identical to Hero 5. It is compact and waterproof up to 10 meters. For easy grip, it has textured sides in its rubberized body. It has 2-inch rear touchscreen LED display, microphone and LED indicator. Its shutter button is placed on the top, while at the bottom the battery and microSD card slot are placed. The charging port is placed on the right side of the device. It is compatible with the Karma drone and Karma Grip
GoPro designed System on Chip (SoC) called GP1 for Hero6 thus improving its quality and performance. The chip introduces GTM- Global Tone Mapping for videos which in turn gives high-contrast shots with bright and dark regions to have improved exposure. With GTM its color accuracy has improved. Colors will be similar to how customers viewed. GoPro Hero6 has an interesting feature i.e. voice command control. Voice command is available in 10 languages and 12 voice commands. Video and photo quality
With this camera, we can shoot 4K video at 60fps and 1080p at 240fps which enable slow motion at full HD. It also has improved low-light performance and night photo modes. It can capture HDR images and has powerful image de-noise capability to capture at a higher ISO. Another feature to be noted is image stabilization. It does de-warping of images based on the motion sensors which reduce warping seen in high-vibration or aggressively stabilized content. Thus, it looks smoother.

With the GP1 chip, the Wi-Fi has become three times faster and uses 5 GHz Wi-Fi to transfer all the captured videos and photos to a smartphone. Another feature to ponder is Quick Stories support. Quick Stories is an app feature that makes it easy to share short videos. Users can transfer the footage from the device to the app and then the app will automatically create a Quick Story videos.
