Details of Fujifilm X E-3 camera
Fujifilm X E3 comes in a compact body with good performance. It offers great features in a compact sized mirrorless camera. The X-E3 is the new X Series mirrorless camera from Fujifilm to receive the 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III sensor. It will take the place of the older X-E2S. While the X-T2 and X-T20 go up against a DSLR-style figure, with a raised, focal viewfinder, the X-E3 takes after the image of an typical rangefinder-style camera in a parallel vein to the X-Pro2.
Usability and Build Quality
At first glance, this is another solid-built Fuji camera with good craftsmanship. It's equipped with a metal top plate and an airtight, leather-textured plastic covering the rest of the body. Like the rest of the Fuji X-series cameras, it keeps its classic design (some might say retro), but overall it is another good-looking camera which is easy to operate. In comparison with previous X-E series cameras, the new X-E3 has smoother lines, a tad smaller body, and a joystick on the back, replaced with a four-way button-type controller. Also on the new model, Fuji removed the frame around the LCD screen and the back of the camera looks sleeker. With the new design, the layout of the buttons looks more proper now, allowing users to control the camera with their right hands only. Unfortunately, the bottom plate is made of plastic. It would be good to see a metal plate instead of a metal-looking plastic.
At first look, this is a strong assembled Fuji camera with great build. It's outfitted with a metal best plate and a sealed shut, cowhide finished plastic covering whatever is left of the body. Like whatever is left of the Fuji X-arrangement cameras, it keeps its great plan (some may state retro), however general it is another attractive camera which is anything but difficult to work. In correlation with past X-E arrangement cameras, the new X-E3 has smoother lines, a touch littler body, and a joystick on the back, supplanted with a four-way catch write controller. Likewise on the new model, Fuji evacuated the casing around the LCD screen and the back of the camera looks sleeker. With the new outline, the format of the catches looks more legitimate now, enabling clients to control the camera with their correct hands as it were. Shockingly, the base plate is made of plastic. It is great to see a metal plate rather than a metal-looking plastic.
Performance and Features
As we've seen with every Fujifilm X Series camera since the X-Pro2, the X-E3 features the company's 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor, which delivers a decent boost in resolution over the X-E2S’s 16.3MP sensor. The Fujifilm X-E3 uses the same 325-point AF system as the X-T20. This is broken down into 169 phase-detect points set out in a grid of 13 x 13 in the middle of the frame, with an additional two grids of 6 x 13 contrast-detect points on either side to make up the 325 focusing points. Thanks to Fujifilm’s X-Processor Pro imaging engine the X-E3 takes 0.4 seconds to power up, compared with 0.5 seconds for the X-E2s, while the shutter lag remains the same at just 0.05 seconds.
While the X-E3 isn't marketed as a action camera, it is capable of shooting at a very fast 14fps using the electronic shutter, or at a slightly more restrained 8fps if you'd prefer to use the camera's mechanical shutter – if you do, expect to be able to shoot 23 raw files or 62 JPEGs before the buffer slows up. One area where there's room for improvement is battery life. At 350 shots per charge, it's certainly not bad for a mirrorless camera, but when compared to a DSLR rival such as the Nikon D5600 and its 820-shot battery life there's certainly room for improvement. It's nice to see a dedicated charger bundled in the box, while you can charge via USB as well.
Overall, Fujifilm X-3E is an ideal camera for those who are thinking of buying their first mirrorless camera. It is also ideal for everyday carry and street photography due to its compact size; As is known to all, the best camera is the one that you carry. However, there are still some features missing such as a tilt screen, and unreliable firmware issues that puts this camera down in the mirrorless race. It may be a good and compact-sized camera for everyday use, but if you want to make your living with street photography, then you have better options in the market.
