The HTC One series have garnered immense popularity in the last few years. And their latest release is the new HTC One M9+ smartphone, a decent pick for those looking for a premium option. I recently came across this new phone that my friend bought a few days back. And here's what I think about it:
Design & Display: I prefer phones with large screens, and the new HTC One M9+ is one of them. The model features a 5.2-inch Super LCD3 with a Quad HD resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 565 ppi. This amazing display provides an immersive viewing experience without compromising on the comfort factor. One of the best aspects of this phone is its solid metallic build, with a premium two-tone finish.
Chipset: The M9+ has an octa-core MediaTek MT6795T processor, clocked at 2.2 GHz, and backed by the PowerVR G6200 and 3 GB of RAM. It’s been just a week since I’ve been using this device, and so far, I haven't noticed any software lag while browsing the web or while streaming videos. In one word, the HTC One M9+ is a very efficient performer.
Camera: I was a bit disappointed with the mediocre camera quality. The device opts for a 20MP shooter that can take some acceptable shots, but not great. It has another 2.1MP depth sensing camera, and also offers 4MP shooter on the front. I'd suggest you to skip this phone, if you are looking for a device with a premium quality camera.
Battery: There's nothing much to talk about the phone's battery. It packs a Non-removable Li-Po 2840 mAh battery which lasts for about a day with moderate usage. During the test, I noticed a drop in battery of about 13% after 15 minutes of gaming. Hence, you may not expect a very long-lasting battery life.
Security: The HTC One M9+ also features a fingerprint scanner built in a home button on the front. This is one amazing feature that ensures the security of your phone. Hence, you can now unlock your phone, using your fingerprint.
Storage: The M9+ has a built in storage of 32GB and can be expanded via microSD card.
Verdict: The HTC One M9+ is not a high-end smartphone, but it is certainly worth your consideration. The phone is a bit pricey, but is totally worth it!
