HTC has announced its plans of launching the Butterfly 3 Smartphone worldwide soon. Butterfly 3 is essentially the same phone as J Butterfly which has officially been available only in Japan since May. But, now the Taiwanese brand plans to launch it internationally.
The new HTC Butterfly 3 has a 5.2 inch QHD LCD display, a Snapdragon 810 chipset and comes with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 32GB and is theoretically expandable to up 2TB via a microSD card.
The USP of the Butterfly 3 is its camera. Equipped with a 20.2 MP camera on the back, this phone also has a secondary sensor which can capture distance information resulting in a Duo setup which allows for post-shot auto focusing and several other creative effects. The camera supports 4K video recording while the 13MP front camera can shoot 1080p videos .
The Butterfly 3 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7. It measures approximately 151 x 73 x 10mm, has a 2,700mAh battery and weighs 161gms. It also has an IP57 rating for water and dust protection. Global availability of the phone and its pricing is yet to be revealed.
