It looks like Xiaomi is expected to unveil their own VR-headset, possibly by tomorrow, according to reports. Apparently, the device which was supposed to be announced back in the August 1st event, shows up online as a blurry image.
Word is it that the new VR-headset will have support for Google’s Daydream platform, and devices powered by the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat OS. There doesn’t seem to be any legit information on whether this device is the real deal. However, knowing Xiaomi as a value-added brand, the headset could possibly be cheaper than the Samsung Gear VR.
Xiaomi recently announced the Redmi Pro affordable smartphone with high-end specifications, and the Mi NoteBook Air that rivals the likes of Apple.
