According to Recode’s trusted sources, Apple plans to finally launch the long-awaited 2016 MacBook models at an event that’s scheduled for October 27th. The launch comes at the right time to sell the new products for the holiday season.
Rumors suggest that the new Apple MacBook Pro devices will be featuring a secondary OLED panel for extra functionality. There is a possibility that Apple could follow suit of Apple’s iPhone 7 strategy and remove the headphone jack on the upcoming MacBook Pro. Other features include Touch ID sensor, haptic feedback, USB Type-C, and upgraded Intel Kaby Lake processors. The new MacBooks will come with MacOS Sierra out of the box.
Word is it that Apple might just retire the long-running 11-inch MacBook series for good. It’s not surprising as modern laptops and ultrabooks from 13-inch display sizes are thin and light as compared to previous models.
