LG announces levitating, waterproof Bluetooth speaker launching at CES 2017

By Team Feedbaac

Magnetically floating electronic devices are nothing new, but LG’s new PJ9 Bluetooth speaker looks like it’s straight out of a sci-fi fanfic. The 360-degree output floating speaker hovers over its woofer base for 10 hours before safely landing back on its own to charge wirelessly.

The egg-shaped design uses electromagnets to create a magnetic field to keep the PJ9 speaker afloat. The passive radiators encased within the speakers are used to offer more balanced bass and mids. In addition to the stellar battery life, the PJ9 comes with the IPX7 rating, making it resistant to water for at least 30 minutes up to 1 meter.

We have no updates regarding the price or availability of the device, but we will be sure to get more information about it come February at CES 2017.
