Samsung unveils a revolutionary four-in-one laundry system at CES 2017, features dual front and top loading washers/dryers

By Team Feedbaac

If there is one thing that gets on the nerves of members of busy families, it’s that they will have to wait for their turn to use the washing machine for cleaning their clothes, every week. Samsung has provided a 4-in-1 laundry system solution that features dual front/top loading washing and dryer compartments.

It’s called the FlexWash™ + FlexDry™ laundry system which has four compartments (two for washers and two for dryers), to tackle your everyday washing needs. The front-loading part of the FlexWash™ has a capacity of five cubic feet (the largest of its class) to handle bulky loads. The FlexWash™ top-loader adds another cubic foot of capacity to handle smaller washing loads. Users will be able to use both the front and top washing compartments simultaneously with different settings.

The FlexDry™ also features both a front facing and top loader compartment. The top-level dryer is meant to be used for delicate fabrics that dries the clothes in a controlled, heated airflow. The main front facing dryer uses Samsung’s MultiSteam technology to freshen and disinfect clothes, along with reducing odors and wrinkles.

“Everyone has different clothes and different ways of caring for them,” said Seo Byung-Sam, President of Home Appliances at Samsung Electronics. “Finally, FlexWash™ + FlexDry™ is a laundry system that fits any need, all at once. We are striving to give consumers the freedom and flexibility to adjust the laundry process for the way they live, not the other way around.”

The new FlexWash™ washer uses three core Samsung laundry technologies: SuperSpeedTM, PowerFoamTM, and Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT). SuperSpeed™ shortens wash cycles to as little as 30 minutes from the usual 60 minutes, while PowerFoam™ technology uses an innovative mixture of water, air and detergent to deep clean event the bulkiest items with the power of foam. VRT is engineered to minimize vibration and keep the noise level down.

Interestingly, the FlexWash™ doesn’t need two different water supply inputs to serve both the front and top loading washing compartments. Since the FlexWash™ + FlexDry™ is IoT-enabled, you can control the machine using Samsung’s Smart Home app via a smartphone. We will let you know of its pricing and availability once it hits the Middle Eastern stores.
