One of the major announcements coming from Lenovo at CES 2017 involved a new line of laptops aimed specifically towards the gaming demographic. The brand called “Legion” will be geared towards gamers, similar to ASUS’ Republic of Gamers and Acer’s Predator line.
The models introduced under the Legion brand are the Y720 and Y520, two 15.6-inch laptops powered by 7th-gen processors. While the Y520 seems to be a bit barebones with a regular Full HD display and the GTX 1050 powering it, the Y720 is where the real excitement is at.
Powered by a quad-core Core i7-7700HQ and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, the Y720 comes with a 4k display option and a multicolored keyboard backlight. Apart from a Thunderbolt 3 port and an integrated Xbox One Wireless receiver, the Lenovo Legion Y720 is also the first laptop to support Dolby Atmos.
The Y520 starts at $899.99, available in February and the Y720 will be available starting $1,399.99 in April.
