Native 240Hz refresh rates have finally arrived in the Middle East. It was back in November 2016 that BenQ announced their first 240Hz ZOWIE XL2450 monitor designs for e-Sports professionals, showcased at DreamHack Winter. The monitor will be available starting this week at AED 1,899.

Focusing on the low-latency refresh rate, the XL2450 offers 1920x1080 resolution on BenQ’s latest 24.5-inch TN panels. Most competitive video games don’t require a higher resolution so the lack of 4K or 2K is acceptable. Apart from this, the monitor comes with a DVI port, two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, audio jacks and giant flappy wings to shield your screen from external lights.

The product launch event featured an exhibition match played by one of the most prominent Counter-Strike Global Offensive teams in the Middle East, Risky Gaming, who are also sponsored by BenQ.

ZOWIE was acquired by BenQ in 2015 and subsequently became their gaming division. Among the many products developed by ZOWIE for gamers, they will be planning on launching keyboards and headsets by the end of Q1 2017.
