TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 smartwatch launched with swappable modules

By Team Feedbaac

The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 has been officially unveiled as their second luxury smartwatch that’s made in collaboration with Google and Intel. The smartwatch runs on Android Wear 2.0 software out of the box with Google Assistant, and the device is priced at $1600 (Approx. AED 5876).

It’s even the first from TAG Heuer to feature interchangeable parts, making it the "First Swiss-Made Connected Watch”. It’s because the 45mm smartwatch module can be swapped for a swiss-made mechanical module (Calibre 5 or Heuer 02T Tourbillon), which has "the most accurate mechanical movements around". Additionally, the straps, the buckles and lugs are interchangeable as well. The main watch module comes in silver or black (11 designs), and the straps are available in leather, titanium, rubber, or ceramic material with different colors. The design combinations come up to 500, according to TAG Heuer.

Interestingly, the smartwatch doesn’t have LTE option and no heart rate sensor. The Connected Modular 45 comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED touch display. The device is powered by the Intel Atom Z34XX processor with 4GB storage, along with WiFi and GPS. The smartwatch is also water resistant up to 50m and supports battery life more than 24 hours.

The availability and proper pricing of the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 is not known for now for the UAE market.
