It looks like Apple has revamped their tablet lineup by introducing the new iPad. The new tablet doesn’t carry any new numbering designation and replaces the iPad Air 2.  The new tablet comes with upgraded specifications and a price tag that’s the cheapest ever in the iPad portfolio.

The new tablet comes with a 9.7-inch IPS display with 2048 x 1536 resolution. Though the new iPad may not have the latest processor, the device is powered by the Apple A9 that’s still touted to be a speedy chip. The tablet runs on IOS 10 operating system. There is also a fingerprint scanner built into the home button as usual.

Another change is that Apple has upped the internal storage of the iPad from 16GB to 32GB for the base version. There is also a 128GB model of the new Apple iPad. The tablet weighs 469g for the WiFi version and 478g for the cellular variant.

The camera department of the tablet is more or less the same 8MP camera on the rear side and a 1.2MP FaceTime camera on the front. The battery of the new iPad can last up to 10 hours of web surfing and video sessions via the WiFi, and up to 9 hours using cellular data network for the Cellular version of the iPad.

The new Apple iPad will come in Silver, Gold and Space Gray colors. The 32GB Apple iPad costs AED 1299 for the WiFi version, and AED 1799 for the WiFi + Cellular version. The 128GB Apple iPad costs AED 1699 for the WiFi version and AED 2199 for the Cellular variant. You can place orders from the Apple online store from March 24th onwards.
