Xiaomi has officially unwrapped their next flagship installment called the Mi6, powered by the very latest of Snapdragon processor, dual-lens optics in a premium and stylish design.
While the smartphone comes with a 5.15-inch 1080p display, the glass is curved on the edges on the front and back in between a stainless-steel frame. Xiaomi calls it the “four-sided 3D glass”. It’s said that the frame has a polish that takes over 12 days and 40 steps of the process to make. There will also be a special version of the Mi6 with a ceramic rear panel and 18K gold rims.
The dual-lens camera on the rear side is carefully designed in a way that there is no hump on the back. While both the camera lens packs 12MP image sensors, one is meant for wide-angle photography and other for a telephoto mode. The camera is also backed by 4-axis optical image stabilization. There is also a portrait mode for the main camera.
Powering the Xiaomi Mi6 is the Snapdragon 835 processor with a massive 6GB RAM, and internal storage capacities of either 64GB or 128GB. The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner within the home button. The battery capacity is 3350 mAh.
While the device isn’t exactly IP68 certified, Xiaomi has sealed all areas of the device to be “splash resistant”. Many users might get disappointed with the fact that the Mi6 doesn’t hold a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it come with stereo speakers.
The Xiaomi Mi6 will have a starting price of $360 (AED 1322). However, we will let you know once this new device hits the UAE stores.
