We have already covered quite a lot of predictions from trusted analysts who has a good track record of getting their expectations right. Among them is Ming-Chi Kuo, who now predicts that Apple is expected to announce the rumored 10.5-inch iPad Pro tablet and a new Siri-based speaker at the Apple WWDC 2017 (Worldwide Developers Conference) that’s scheduled for June.
While Apple isn’t usually known to announce new products at the WWDC for developers, the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro will be a one-of-a-kind tablet with ultra-thin bezels. According to Kuo, there is more than 50% chance that Apple is also expected to unveil a new Siri-based voice assistant smart speaker at the conference. His prediction about the unveiling of the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro is 70%.
Kuo says that the Siri speaker is expected to feature premium-audio quality and will be more expensive than the Amazon Echo. The device may also have its own touch-based input of some sort or maybe a touchscreen that’s similar to that of the recently announced Amazon Echo Show.
Kuo also mentions that Apple could kick-start the production of the 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro tablet in late Q2 2017. Other new announcements at WWDC 2017 that are expected are iOS 11 for iPhones and iPads, macOS 10.13 for the MacBooks, tvOS 11 for Apple TV devices and watchOS 4 for the Apple Watch series.
