While Nokia has yet to unveil the long-rumored Nokia 9 flagship smartphone, the folks at frandroid happened to get their hands on the device. The device is said to feature a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual 13 MP cameras on the rear.
However, the alleged smartphone appears to be covered by a casing to keep the design away before the device goes official. The smartphone holds a 5.3-inch QHD display with a reported maximum brightness of 535 nits. The display is said to also come with an Always On display option for showing notifications. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also a home button on the front that might feature a fingerprint scanner.
The smartphone appears to be running on Android 7.1.1 with a custom launcher that resembles the Google Pixel. The dual 13MP camera on the rear is supported by a dual LED flash and possibly laser autofocus.
Back in MWC 2017, Nokia had unveiled a series of mid-range smartphones: Nokia 6 which features a 5.5-inch display with Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal memory, the Nokia 5 which holds a smaller display, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. A few days ago, an alleged video was leaked by a Nokia photographer which highlighted a new smartphone that’s possibly the Nokia 9.
