The QLED TV is world’s first television to reproduce 100 percent color volume thanks to new and advanced Quantum Dot technology.

Samsung Gulf Electronics has officially launched their highly anticipated QLED TV at its Experience Store in the Dubai Media City. Samsung showcased a product demonstration and the innovation that they have brought upon for its media guests. The event also expanded upon the latest innovations in Quantum Dot Display technology and the major differences in display technologies.

Samsung’s latest QLED TVs were designed with the consumer in mind and focusing on addressing three key consumer points through the solutions known as” Q Picture, Q Smart and Q Style”. The ‘Smart Hub’ interface is now extended to smartphones through Samsung’s new and improved ‘Smart View’ application. The app now provides a comprehensive overview of all available content through the app’s home screen. Samsung also showcased its design expertise with the introduction of a single, transparent ‘Invisible Connection’ cable, through which all of the peripheral devices can be gathered and connected to the TV.

“We are thrilled to bring Samsung’s new innovation in TV to the GCC. More than just empowering consumers with an advanced TV experience, we wanted to ensure our customers understood the superior technological elements that the QLED has to offer, and the ways that it will elevate their TV viewing experience. Our goal is to educate our consumers on the display technologies available on the market and provide them with the transparency and clear product information they deserve when making a purchase decision,” said Mr. Haris Munif, Head of Product Marketing at Samsung at Samsung Gulf Electronics.

The new lineup offers dramatically improved colors, displaying DCI-P3 color space accurately- a world’s first for Samsung, QLED TVs are capable of reproducing 100% color volume. This specifically means they can express all colors at any level of brightness with peak luminance at 1,500 nits.

Color volume presents color that can be expressed at different levels of brightness. For example, a leaf can be perceived as different colors from yellowish green to turquoise, depending on brightness of the light. Samsung QLED TV display can capture even subtle differences in color pertaining to brightness. This kind of color detail cannot be easily depicted in the traditional 2D color space models.

The new Samsung QLED TV is now available at all major retailers in the UAE, the 75-inch and 65-inch models of the Q8C are priced at AED 34,999 and AED 16,999 respectively.
