Amazon’s Souq.com has begun pre-orders for the OnePlus 5, the Chinese company’s latest flagship smartphones.
Users in the UAE can now pre-order the device from the online retailer and receive it by July 12. The 64GB Grey variant of the smartphone is priced at AED 1,799, while the larger 128GB Black version of the phone is priced at AED 2,049. Different colors are not available at the time of writing.
The OnePlus 5 was announced last week and packs quite a punch in terms of hardware. The device sports a 5.5” AMOLED FullHD display protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and a Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB RAM for the 64GB model, and 8GB RAM for the 128GB model. In terms of optics, like most modern smartphones these days, the OnePlus 5 also features a dual-lens camera - one is a 16MP f/1.7 sensor with electronic image stabilization, while the other is a 20MP sensor for the telephoto mode with a f/2.6 aperture. The front camera also holds a 16MP f2 lens.
All of this runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Oxygen OS, powered by a 3300 mAh battery with Dash Charge capability (aka USB Type-C port fast charge). While the smartphone is impressively powerful, it surprisingly lacks water and dust resistance, as well as wireless charging. Click here to get the best OnePlus 5 prices in the UAE.
