While we have already seen render leaks of the Samsung Galaxy Note8 and the Nokia 8, MobileFun, a brand known for making smartphone cases, happens to show us a glimpse of what LG’s next upcoming smartphone would look like. And it’s believed to be the LG V30.
Thanks to the transparent case render, we can clearly see how the LG V30 looks like from the rear side. One thing is certain, the dual-lens camera on the LG V30 is constructed horizontally, along with a flash module on the right side. There is the fingerprint scanner under the camera module.
Additionally, it appears that the camera module only slightly protrudes out. So, this is a good thing for those who worry about their smartphones wobbling on a flat surface. We can also see that the volume rockers are located on the upper left side of the device. According to the renders, it looks like LG will release the V30 in what might appear to be as colors such as black, gold, and another gold color with a rose gold-like frame.
Apart from the design factors, the LG V30 is rumored to feature a large 6.2-inch edge-to-edge display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. LG is certainly expanding its 18:9 display concept of the LG G6 towards newer devices. The inclusion of the 18:9 aspect ratio and the edge-to-edge design with fewer bezels means LG can make use of a large display while keeping the overall size of the device smaller. Recently, they had launched the LG Q6, the LG Q6 Plus and the LG Q6a with a smaller display and with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
That being said, there were previous rumors that the LG V30 might feature a full sized OLED display. There were also reports that LG was considering to use a slider-like design with a secondary OLED display for the LG V30. The smartphone is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB or 6GB RAM, according to various reports. This will likely put the LG V30 as a faster smartphone than the current LG G6, which is powered by the Snapdragon 821 processor. The camera on the rear that we spoke of, is likely to consist of dual 13MP image sensors, while the front facing camera is rumored to feature an 8MP mobile camera sensor. The battery capacity is also expected to be 3200 mAh with possible support for wireless charging.
Along with LG who is expected to announce V30, Samsung is also expected to unpack the Galaxy Note8 smartphone soon, which will also feature a large 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display and with fewer bezels. LG will be unveiling their new devices, including the LG V30 by August 31st, just before IFA 2017 commences. The price of the LG V30 is not known yet.
