While there is still some time until Apple unveils the anniversary edition of the Apple iPhone, dubbed the Apple iPhone 8, Ming-Chi Kuo, who is a trusted analyst of KGI Securities, suggests that the smartphone may be featuring 64GB of native internal storage and 3GB RAM. The iPhone 7s Plus is also said to receive 3GB RAM.
However, it seems that the iPhone 7s will only come with 2GB RAM. That being said, the 64GB flash memory for the iPhone 8 is said to be manufactured by SanDisk. Reports also indicate that the 512GB flash memory is being manufactured by Samsung and SK Hynix. Additionally, it’s said that the new DRAMs are capable of delivering improved transfer speeds up to 10-15%. The new smartphones are expected to feature the new Apple A11 processor and TMSC is said to be supplying the new chips.
The Apple iPhone 8 is rumored to feature an all-screen OLED display with thin bezels, and the panel is reportedly manufactured by Samsung. The device is expected to come with an integrated fingerprint scanner within the display, according to past rumors, and the latest reports indicate it may have a rear-facing scanner. There will also be a facial recognition scanner on the iPhone 8. The dual-lens camera and the front-facing camera of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 7s/iPhone 7s Plus may be the first in the market to offer 4K video recording at 60fps. The latest rumored feature is the wireless charging capability for the iPhone 8 and word is it that the wireless charging module may be sold as a separate accessory.
The new smartphones are expected to be announced sometime in September. Word is it that the Apple iPhone 8 is priced at $1000 and above and may be limited in production. Although, there were reports in the past that the production may be delayed. A new report also suggested that Apple will release the smartphone in a new “Blush Gold” color.
Apple is also rumored to release a new version of the Apple iPhone SE later this year, although, a report suggested that the launch is expected by the end of August. Apple Watch 3 is another device that is also expected to be released and is said to receive upgrades such as LTE and stand-alone capabilities that don't require the user to sync the wearable with an iPhone.
