With all the major smartphone announcements happening around, Lenovo has also announced their latest, mid-range device called the Moto X4 at IFA 2017 in Berlin. The top-of-the-line mid-ranger smartphone packs some great cameras and preloaded with Amazon Alexa AI.
The device also features a 5-inch IPS display, with Full HD screen resolution that’s acceptable and the panel is protected with Gorilla Glass for resisting accidental scratches and bumps. The Moto X4 is fused with the Snapdragon 630 processor and 3GB RAM to go with it. The 32GB internal memory storage is quite plenty and can be expanded with a MicroSD card. The design of the smartphone features a sandwiched, dual-glass form factor, and the device is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. The Moto X4 runs on Android Nougat OS for now and no word on when the Android Oreo update will roll out. That said, users can access and use the Amazon Alexa when the Moto X4 is locked.
The main camera comes with dual-lens setup. One of the lens holds a 12MP shooter with an aperture pf F2.0 and Dual Pixel autofocus. The second lens features an 8MP wide-angle focal length and with an aperture of F2.2. The camera also comes with support for phase detection AF for fast and accurate focusing of subjects and create bokeh effects, along with 4K video recording. The front camera of the Moto X4 has a 16MP snapper and sits behind a lens with an aperture of F2.0, along with a front-facing LED flash. The camera module of the Moto X4 on the rear looks like it has a ring to adjust the aperture. So, it’s a nice touch to the design of the smartphone.
Other features of the Moto X4 includes Category 13 LTE, Dual SIM, a trio of microphones, Bluetooth 5.0 that can connect up to four wireless speakers and USB Type-C port. The battery of the Moto X4 holds a capacity of 3000 mAh and has support for 15W fast charge.
The company is expected to unveil Lenovo is expected to release the Moto X4 soon and will come in Super Black and Sterling Blue colors. The price is expected to be 399 Euros (AED 1738). Motorola also recently announced the Moto Z2 Force, that features a dual-lens camera as well and new additions of Moto Mods to go along with it.
