When the Dubai based billionaire, Mohamed Alabbar, had announced the “game-changing” Noon.com back in January 2017, it wasn’t clear as to when will the $1 billion e-commerce platform be ready for the consumers in the UAE. But it happens so that Noon.com has finally moved from its “coming soon status” and is now live with all sorts of shopping options to choose.
The design of the website appears to closely resemble JadoPado, which is no surprise because the popular e-commerce retailer was acquired by Alabbar a few months ago. We think that the simplistic and neat-looking design (which includes the yellow bar on the top and the white background) is undoubtfully inspired from JadoPado. Users will be able to select categories such as Electronics, Fashion, Home/Kitchen, Beauty/Fragrance, Baby Products, and Grocery. Simply by hovering the mouse cursor over the categories will expand and highlight an in-depth of the different types of products, along with the main brands and their top products as well.
There is also the slider under the category tab that showcases the best deals from different categories, followed by top picks, top brands, top devices, and more. And just like Souq.com, Noon.com also holds the “Fulfilled by Noon.com” status for many of the products, which according to the website means that “Fulfilled by noon products are the products that sit in our customer fulfillment center and have a quicker delivery time as we take care of the entire shipping process.”
We also checked out the discounts for some of the latest flagship products, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note8, which cost AED 3399 AED 3320, and the Apple iPhone 8 Plus 64GB for just AED 3249 AED 3149. The Sony PlayStation 4 Pro now costs AED 1599 AED 1329 and the Microsoft Xbox One S 500GB costs only AED 799. Smartwatches like the Apple Watch Series 2 Space Gray Nike costs only AED 1501 AED 1392 and laptops start from as low as AED 850. We will be adding Noon.com as one of the online e-retailers for our price comparison product pages related to electronics, video games, home appliances and more. Users will be able to select English or Arabic as the default language and you can sign in by simply registering your e-mail ID. However, it appears that there isn't any option to sign up using your Facebook or Google accounts, which could be introduced at a later point. For now, do make sure to check out Noon.com for some great online deals.
