With Apple iPhone X finally launched in the UAE, loyal Apple customers have been waiting outside the Apple Store in Dubai Mall since yesterday afternoon. The first owners of Apple iPhone X in UAE are Pinkesh Jaswani and Amit Gopal. Amit Gopal is in reservation and Pinkesh Jaswani is the first customer to wait in line, since 2 pm, from the previous day.
Unlike the previous models, the iPhone X is the first in the series to use an all-screen OLED display. The viewing angles of the screen are simply amazing and the colors are drop-dead gorgeous. While the iPhone X looks smaller than the iPhone 8 Plus, the display is larger in size, 5.8-inch to be precise. Although the device weighs 174g, the iPhone X felt very light.
The rear side of the smartphone is an all-glass design, and if you haven’t noticed, the dual-lens camera is configured vertically as opposed to the horizontal style of the iPhone X.
I also liked the part where the iPhone X features a stainless-steel frame with the volume buttons and silent switch on the left and the side button on the right side. Oh, and we must mention that the iPhone X is IP67 certified for dust and water resistance. There are stereo speaker grills on the bottom, placed in between either side of the reversible lightning port.
While Apple got rid of the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, users will be able to unlock the device with the use of the Face ID camera technology. These advanced facial recognition mapping camera and sensor are placed on the top of the display (the only portion that eats out the all-screen design layout of the display). The TrueDepth front-facing camera holds a 7MP BSI image sensor with an aperture of F2.2. Apple has also added the portrait mode for the front-facing camera.
The rear-facing dual-camera setup consists of 12MP image sensors for both wide-angle and telephoto lens. The wide-angle lens features an aperture of f1.8 and the telephoto with f2.4. One of the best features is that the iPhone X is the only smartphone right now that can record 4K videos at 60fps, as other competitor platforms haven’t crossed the 4K 30fps framerate.
The Apple iPhone X is powered by the 6-core Apple A11 Bionic processor and supported with 3GB RAM. There will be two different storage models for the iPhone X: 64GB and 256GB. The battery capacity of the iPhone X is 2716 mAh and the smartphone also is capable of fast charging up to 50% in just 30 minutes. Additionally, the iPhone X also features Qi wireless charging.
The 64GB Apple iPhone X is priced at AED 4099 in the UAE and the 256GB iPhone X for AED 4729. Colors include Silver and Space Gray. Click here to get the best Apple iPhone X prices in the UAE.
