Honor 7X UAE launch

Smartphone maker Honor has officially announced the launch of its latest product called the Honor 7X, featuring a full-screen viewing capability and new camera optics at a very competitive price of just AED 999.

It’s the first device in the Honor portfolio that features the Honor FullView Display. The IPS screen is 5.93 inch in size with edge-to-edge and bezel-less design that allows users to enjoy more screen estate without being too big. The aspect ratio is also 18:9, which is also good to watch movies in a near-cinematic experience and play games with more depth.

Chris Sun Baigong, the VP of Honor in the Middle East and Africa commented, “The Honor 7x clearly demonstrates our capability to offer young tech savvy consumers in the Middle East and Africa unprecedented technology at a value added price while challenging the current market competitors. A smartphone that far exceeds their expectations with the best fullview display that caters to their ever-changing needs. Honor 7x offers a phone that inspires action and creativity at a surprisingly accessible price.”

For better productivity and fan, the Honor 7X features a One-key Screen Split functionality. The smartphone packs a dual-lens 16MP + 2MP rear camera configuration, along with phase Detection for fast autofocus, and with its latest technology, the Honor 7X is capable of focusing a subject as fast as 0.18 seconds. The previous Honor 6X featured a 12MP + 2MP camera with PDAF. And as the previous generation, the Honor 7X also uses an 8MP selfie camera on the front side. Both the front and rear cameras can record up to 1080p. We wish that the main camera could have been capable of 4K video recording.

The new device comes powered by the octa-core, Kirin 659 processor, clocked at 2.36GHz, and is supported with RAM and EMUI5.1 user interface. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs up to 64GB of internal storage with microSD expansion support (Uses the second SIM card slot). The new Honor 7X also holds a 3340 mAh battery that offers more than one full day of functionality. The Ultra Power Saving Mode allows users to watch a full season of their favourite TV series or about 91 hours of music on the go.

The Honor 7X is now available at all major offline retail stores and will hit souq.com UAE from January 6th, 2018.
