As CES 2018 kicks off to a great start, Sony Mobile Communications has officially unveiled their latest devices called the Sony Xperia XA2, the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra, and the Xperia L2. These new smartphones feature stunning new cameras and a new elegant design.

"Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra are no different, with leading front camera technology first seen in our flagship XZ line. We’re targeting 2018 as a breakthrough year, and look forward to showcasing further innovations across the entire Xperia portfolio over the coming months.”
The Sony Xperia XA2 packs a powerful 23MP, 1/2.3” Exmor RS image sensor with the ISO sensitivity up to 12800 for good low-light image captures. The camera is capable of recording videos at 4K. The front camera comes with an 8MP selfie snapper with a 120-degree wide angle coverage. The smartphone holds a 5.2” Full HD display that is now brighter and sharper than previous generations. The new design includes a beautiful borderless design for stunning visuals till the edge. The screen is protected by the durable Corning Gorilla Glass.
Sony has placed the fingerprint scanner on the rear and smooth metallic back panel. The new design represents an evolution of the familiar Xperia “loop surface” form, along with a smooth screen curvature and a symmetrical layout, so that users will get a sleek look on their smartphones. The Xperia XA2 now holds a larger 3,300 mAh battery, and thanks to the Snapdragon 630 processor’s efficiency, the device is capable of lasting longer. The Smart Stamina feature is capable of extending the usage time during the day. The Qnovo Adaptive Charging makes sure that the battery stays healthy always.
The Xperia XA2 Ultra is the first in their line-up to feature dual-lens selfie cameras on the front side, featuring a 16MP shooter with Optical Image Stabilisation and 8MP for wide-angle selfies. Both the lenses are supported with front-facing flash. The rear camera is the same 23MP rear camera module as the smaller Xperia XA2. The Xperia XA2 Ultra comes with a large and vibrant 6” Full HD smartphone display, that’s touted to offer a wide and accurate color gamut and protected with Gorilla Glass. The Xperia XA2 Ultra also features a borderless screen design. The smartphone also holds a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and the loop surface design consists of an anodized aluminum on either side.
The Xperia XA2 Ultra packs a massive 3,580 mAh battery, ensuring users for longer usage along with Sony’s impressive battery saving modes. The device is also powered by the Snapdragon 630 chip for great performance and efficiency. Both the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra also supports Quick charging via its USB Type-C port.
Next is the affordable Sony Xperia L2 that holds a 5.5-inch HD screen, that is great for watching videos, browse and social networks chats. The smartphone is powered by a 3,300 mAh battery and also features the new “loop surface” design. The 8MP front camera is capable of capturing 120-degree wide angle selfies and the rear 13MP camera comes with an F2.0 aperture lens
The Sony Xperia XA2 will be priced at AED 1149 in the UAE, the Xperia XA2 Ultra for AED 1549 and the Xperia L2 for just AED 849. These smartphones will be available on the UAE from February 2018.
