Both these devices feature the curved edges and the 18:5:9 aspect ratio is still here to stay. The new smartphones also come with IP68 water and dust resistance. The Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus weighs 163g and 189g, respectively. The Galaxy S9 features a single-lens 12MP shooter, while the bigger Galaxy S9 Plus packs a dual-lens 12MP camera with Dual OIS with fast autofocus and the front camera holds an 8MP. And while the front camera has an f1.7 aperture, the main dual-lens camera features a variable aperture. This means users will be able to choose either a very bright aperture of f1.5 and f2.4, depending on the situation. Another new addition is the capability of the rear camera to record 4K videos at 60fps.
The new Galaxy S9 series smartphones are powered by the new Exynos 9810 octa-core chip. The Galaxy S9 features 4GB of RAM and the Galaxy S9 Plus packs 6GB of RAM. The new devices now sport stereo speakers from AKG by Harman with Dolby Atmos support.
