China-based smartphone brand Huawei has officially launched its Mate 8 smartphone, which was unveiled in November 2015, and which runs Android 6.0 straight out of the box coupled with an octa-core processor. This handset comes with a theoretically powerful 4,000 mAh battery.

With the 4,000 mAh battery, Huawei claims that the Mate 8 will offer a talktime, of more than two days, under normal usage conditions.

However, USP of the Huawei Mate 8 is the fact that it is also claimed to be capable enough of acquiring charge, in 30 minutes, to allow the smartphone to run for 24 full hours. Nonetheless, this fact needs practical testing under real-world conditions.

Key technical specifications of Huawei’s Mate 8 include a large 6-inch display having resolutions of 1080 x 1920 pixels with pixel density of 368 pixels per inch (ppi).

A 16 MP rear and 8 MP front cameras adorn the Huawei Mate 8 smartphone. The handset is LTE-enabled and supports HSPA, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and microUSB connectivity.

Huawei has stated that the Mate S will officially be available for purchase in the UAE, in both the 32 GB and 64 GB variants, costing AED 2363 and AED 2758 respectively.
