Switch bands within seconds with Google’s new MODE bands for Android Wear devices

Google is officially introducing their new MODE series bands that lets you change and snap your Android Wear bands within a few seconds. It’s no magic. The bands simply use pins to hook itself to the main watch body’s lugs.

There is also a release latch that helps in easy removal. There will be MODE bands based on several occasions, such as Office, Party, and Workout Mode. For now, Hadley-Roma will launch two Mode bands, one meant for workouts that’s made of silicon, and other is leather, priced at $49.99, and $59.99, respectively. Other accessory makers are also welcome to make Mode bands as long as they follow the guidelines, and pass the reliability tests.

The MODE bands are currently compatible with ASUS ZenWatch 2nd Gen (45mm/49mm), ASUS ZenWatch Gen 1, Huawei Watch, LG Watch Urbane, LG G Watch, LG G Watch R, Moto 360 Gen 2 for Men (42mm/46mm), Moto 360 Gen 2 for Women 42mm, and the Samsung Gear Live.
