During a launch event in India, Motorola unwrapped not just one, but three variants of the new Moto G4 portfolio: The Moto G4, the Moto G4 Plus, and the Moto G4 Play. The Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus feature almost the same spec sheet, except for a few key points.

The Motorola G4 Plus features a 16MP rear camera shooter with an F2.0 aperture lens with a laser and phase detection autofocus, as opposed to the 13MP sensor with F2.2 aperture lens present in the basic Moto G4. The Moto G4 Plus features a fingerprint sensor, while the Moto G4 doesn’t include one.

However, both the smartphones feature the same 5MP front facing camera, 5.5-inch 1080p display with 400ppi, and a fast Snapdragon 617 processor, along with 933 MHz LPDDR3 RAM. You get 4GB RAM with the 64GB model, 3GB RAM with the 32GB variant, and 2GB RAM with 16GB model. The Moto G4 Plus holds a non-removable 3000 mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Moto G4 Play holds a 5-inch 720p display, a slower Snapdragon 410, and a 2700 mAh battery. The availability and pricing of these new devices are yet to be known in the Middle Eastern market. Stay tuned.
