The next installment in the stealth first-person-shooter (fps) game series PayDay is now official, and this title is tentatively termed PayDay 3.
As per an official press release, game development company Starbreeze is said to have dished out as much as USD 30 Million to purchase rights of the PayDay franchise.
Also, the current-gen PayDay title, the PayDay 2 (released in 2013) has got modifications in the form of elimination of the microtransaction in-game aspect and revamp of the skill tree (another in-game aspect).
Players of the current-gen PayDay 2 would, however, receive the regular game-related updates and patches in the near future as well, but this aspect is uncertain after the next 18 months have passed.
“PayDay is very close to my heart, and has laid the foundation for Starbreeze success in recent years. We’re very excited to bring our heisters home to the safe house,” stated Bo Andersson Klint, CEO at Starbreeze. “To start with, we believe in the continued success of PAYDAY 2 and will support it for at least another 18 months continuing expanding the game.”, Andersson added.
