At the Computex 2016 launch stage, ASUS has officially announced its new Transformer 3 2-in-1 Windows tablet series, that includes the ASUS Transformer 3 Pro, the Transformer 3, and the Transformer 3 Mini.

The ASUS Transformer 3 Pro is aimed to compete head on with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, holding a similar kickstand on its rear (adjustable up to 170-degrees). The tablet comes powered with the latest i7 processors, up to 16GB 2133 MHz DDR3 RAM, and storage options up to 1TB PCIe SSD. The tablet also features a fingerprint scanner, and holds a 13MP rear camera too. The tablet comes with a USB-Type C port, a Thunderbolt 3 port, a USB 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. ASUS has integrated Harmon Kardon branded speakers. The tablet has a 12.6-inch display with 2880 x 1920 resolution.

While the ASUS Transformer 3 on the other hand features the same display as the Transformer 3 Pro, the device doesn’t sport built-in kick stands. The device comes powered with 7th Gen Intel processors, and 512GB SSD, and 8GB RAM. A fingerprint reader is also integrated.

Next comes the smaller Transformer Mini, which ASUS says it’s the world’s lightest 2-in-1 PC. The device weighs only 790g with a keyboard, and holds a 10-inch display. Interestingly, this little tablet also features a fingerprint scanner, and a backlit keyboard cover.

Local availability of these new tablets is yet to be announced, and we will soon inform you once the word is out.
